I had the pleasure of attending the live domain auction at the Westin Diplomat Hotel last week where a dozen domains topped the $100,000 mark in often spirited bidding on Friday, October 27th, with sales totaling more than $2.8 million.

Other successes featured a high conversion rate for strong domains with non-.com extensions, including an excellent showing for .mobi domains. Not only did all ten .mobi domains entered in the auction sell, but Flowers.mobi sold for $200,000, taking honors as the second highest-selling domain, and Fun.mobi coming in at $100,000, respectably rounding out the top twelve. What does this mean for the .mobi market?
